Raba: "We wanted to dedicate the win to Ochotorena"
The striker talks after the 0-5 away win
Dani Raba talked after the game against UD Maracena to give his thoughts on a comprehensive second half showing.
Dedicating the win to Ochotorena
It's been difficult for the team, the club, and everyone. We wanted to dedicate a win to Ochotorena's family, as a thoughtful gesture. Today was a day for him.
I've only just arrived this year, but I've seen the affection, the appreciation for him from the club, the players and coaching staff. I think that's very important.
The first half
In the end, we had a serious first half, but it was difficult for us, they came out motivated and did things well. But we came back out focused and motivated. This is the path to follow to take a step forward.
Avoiding surprises
We know that surprises happen every year, so you can't let your concentration or winning mentality drop even a bit.
The second half
The goals came in the second half. As I said before, they did things well, but I think we had a very serious first half. We didn't score, we couldn't get on the scoresheet, but I think we came out with that idea in the second half and won in the end.
Returning to winning ways
I think it's always important to be on a winning track, as it gives the team confidence, and we can start thinking about training to prepare for the next game. We'll focus on tomorrow's training, on recovering, on preparing for the match, and going out with the best mentality to try to get the best result possible at the Bernabeu.
